15,000 sq. ft. renovation to upgrade and expand the Emergency Department to 32 beds, and provide state-of-the-art services, improve workflow throughout the space, improve patient privacy, upgrade finishes, improve systems infrastructure and physical security provisions throughout the space.
The original south wing of the department required a complete gut and rebuild while the previously added north wing consisted primarily of upgrading infrastructure and finishes. The final primary component of the project consisted of exterior improvements to construct a new secure entry vestibule with access-controlled point-of-arrival, improvements to vehicular traffic access, new area drainage, concrete sidewalks, ADA ramps and physical security barriers.
